Between Palmer Point and the inlet is 6.5km long Flirt Point Beach (750, also known as Woolanmarroo) and the southern end of the Yarrabah Aboriginal Land. The beach begins right at the small Palmer Point and runs south for 4km before it encounters the inlet shoals, which extend up to 1.5km seaward. The shoals and 200m wide inlet are very unstable. The beach consists of a steep high tide beach, fronted by a continuous, 50m wide bar; however at the inlet, the bar gives way to tidal shoals that extend well seaward at low tide.
Beach Length: 6.5km
General Hazard Rating: 3/10
