Poyungan beach (FR8E) is a 15 km long, straight section from Rainbow Valley to One Tree Rocks. The Lake Garawongera and Cornwells Break 'roads' reach this section of beach. There is a ranger station behind Poyungan Rocks, otherwise no formal establishments. However, beach camping is popular the length of the beach. Wave height still averages 1 to 1.5 m and rips dominate the inner bar. Lake Wabby lies 1.5 km in behind the beach.
