Noah Head rises over 100 m and protrudes sufficiently to separate the Myall Creek beach from those surrounding Noah Creek. Between the head and lying either side of Noah Creek are three exposed beaches. The Cooktown Road skirts close to all three, providing good access, with a picnic and public camping area located just south of the head in lee of Noah Creek (north) beach (677). The three near-continuous beaches face slightly south of east into the predominate south-east Trade winds and waves, which result in waves averaging 0.5 m and more during strong Trade winds. The waves maintain a wide, low gradient beach with a low surf zone breaking across the shallow bar at high and low tide. The northernmost beach (676) is a 100 m pocket of sand cut off from the main beach at high tide by a spur of Noah Head, though readily accessible at low tide. The main beach (677) is 1.6 km long and extends from the spur down to Noah Creek, which drains permanently across the beach. On the south side of the creek is the 2.3 km long southern beach (678) which ends below 450 m high Table Mountain.
