Cooper Point protrudes 2.5 km to the east from the southern end of Rocky Point Beach. Along the base of its steep, densely vegetated slopes is a strip of sand and metamorphic rocks that comprises the three beaches. The three all lie within Ella Bay National Park and are undeveloped, with no vehicle or foot access and no facilities.
Cooper Point (1) Beach (757) is 400 m long, faces almost due north and receives low waves averaging about 0.3 m. It has a steep, narrow high tide beach covered with numerous rocks and boulders, and tidal shoals off the beach.
