Cattle Point beach (1389) runs for 17 km to the south-east, from the small creek to low, sandy Cattle Point. The entire beach and backing beach ridge plain has built out over the past 6000 years using sediments supplied by the Fitzroy River. The beach receives sufficient wave energy to maintain a wide, low gradient beach that is up to 300 m wide at low tide. There are farm access tracks to parts of the beach, but no formal public access.
