Beach WA 917 is a 400 m long narrow high tide beach, backed by 5-10 m high calcarenite bluff, then vegetated transgressive dunes, with a large vegetated blowout at the northern end. It is fronted by shallow reefs extending 20-300 m off the shore, with usually calm conditions at the beach.
