Golden Bay (formerly Peelhurst) (WA 793D) occupies the next 2.5 km of the shoreline. This growing subdivision spreads along 1.5 km of the shore, with the 150 m wide Golden Bay Reserve between the houses and the beach. There is a large car park and viewing platform towards the northern end of the development. This section of the bay is more exposed with waves commonly reaching up to 1.5 m. These waves maintain an 80 m wide surf zone, with rips usually spaced every 200 m.
