Beach WA 642 is the longest beach in the bay and extends for 1 km to the northwest terminating at the calcarenite basement rocks of White Cliff Point. The beach is tied to low granite rocks in the south, with a mixture of sand and calcarenite reef off the beach. The calcarenite forms an eroding 10 m high bluff at the northern end, the ‘white cliffs’ of the point. It receives waves averaging about 1 m, which surge up a moderately steep reflective beach. The beach can be accessed on foot from the Hamelin Bay car park, 400 m to the north.
Beach Length: 1km
General Hazard Rating: 5/10
