Beach WA 613 extends from the southern rocks of beach WA 612 for 700 m to the sloping granite of Point Matthew. The beach protrudes seaward in lee of shallow inshore reefs and seagrass meadows, with some seagrass debris usually littering the steep reflective beach. There is good access to the northern end and a vehicle track along the rear of the beach towards the point. The southern end of the beach in lee of the point is known as Dead Finish Anchorage. Small boats are launched from the beach and moored just offshore. The 15 m high point is named after Matthew Flinders, who anchored her in 1802. read more
