On the southern side of Rouges Point is a 1 km long southeast facing beach (253) which extends down to the 10 m high bluffs at the base of Mennie Hill. There is a large sealed car park and beach boat ramp and beach shelter at the northern end (Fig. 4.83), with 25 beachfront shacks backing the centre of the beach. Because of its orientation this beach receives slight higher waves, still averaging less than op.5 m, which maintain three low ridges across the 100 m wide sand flats.
Beach Length: 1km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
