West Beach (south) (231A) extends from the northern Patawalonga training wall for 1.8 km to the marina breakwater. This beach has been modified in the south by both the training wall which extends 100 m seaward blocking southerly waves, and the periodic dumping of sand from the build up on south side of the river. Residential development backs the first kilometre, followed by a sewage treatment works, then caravan parks and marina.
Beach Length: 1.8km
