Beach Q 19 commences on the northern side of Point Parker, extends for 1 km to the point, and then continues on to the south for another 5.5 km. In the vicinity of the point the beach is fronted by intertidal flats of Cretaceous siltstone. South of the point 500 m wide ridged sand flats face east into the more open gulf waters, with mangroves forming the southern boundary. Both sides of the point area are backed by a series of up to ten well developed beach ridges extending 2 km inland. The ridges thin to the south and some dune instability has resulted from the easterly orientation. There is vehicle access to the point.
