Beach NT 1449 is a 200 m long pocket of sand wedged in between the boundary creek with beach NT 1448 and a second creek, with both creeks linking behind the beach to enclose the small beach and beach ridge in mangrove-fringed tidal channels. Ridged sand flats extend 2 km off the beach.
