Immediately east is beach NT 1027, a 100 m long high tide sand beach, bordered by a curving rocky spit at its eastern end. The Yirrkala boat ramp crosses the centre of the beach, where some of the rocks have been cleared from the 100 m wide rock flats that front the beach to improve boat access. Three houses also back the eastern half of the beach.
