Beach WA 1530 commences at the northern end of a 2 km long section of calcarenite and 1 km south of North Hill. It trends north for 3.3 km to a 100 m long section of bluffed calcarenite called Carter Hill. The beach is paralleled by a 2 km wide channel, then 3 km of reef flats that extend west to the reef edge. It is backed by vegetated longwalled parabolics extending from 500 m in the south to 1 km inland in the north. The southern end of the beach is accessible via the 500 m long North Hill track.
