Beach WA 1535 is a 5.7 km long gently curving north to north-northwest trending beach that starts at the shearing sheds and terminates at Beacon Point, the tip of the next foreland. The beach is very sheltered in the south where lighters used to moor to transport the wool. Near continuous barrier reefs lies 4-5 km off the beach, with one 500 m wide gap. Waves remain low at the shore, which is backed by active and vegetated parabolic dunes, which commence as soon as the shoreline turns to face slightly south. The north-trending dunes parallel the beach, extending up to 2 km in from the point and several kilometres to the north. The gravel road terminates at the shearing sheds, with the 4 WD coast track continuing to the north along the rear of the dunes.
Beach Length: 5.7km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
