One kilometre south of Woorim is Skirmish Point, where the shoreline swings south-west for 1 km to Bold Point, then continues on to the west to South Point, the southern tip of the island. This convex, roughly south-south-east facing beach (1557) faces into Moreton Bay. The beach receives low waves and is usually calm inside Bold Point. However strong tidal currents and a deep channel parallel much of the eastern half of the beach.
