At Greenmount Beach, the Tweed Heads & Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club (1599B) has the honour of being the oldest in Queensland, being established in 1911. The club house is located at the far eastern end of the beach, close by the slopes of Greenmount. The foreshore reserve gives way to a continuous car park toward the eastern end, providing extensive parking at one of the Gold Coast's safer beaches.
