Bulgo Beach (NSW 350) lies 1 km to the south and is the southernmost of the shack settlements in the Royal National Park. The shacks cling to the steep slopes that rise nearly 200 m to Otford lookout and train station. The beach is a 300 m long narrow band of coarse sand and gravel fronted by a rock-rimmed 'lagoon' in the north and 100 km wide rock platform to the south, the lagoon forming a small sheltered site for launching boats. The sheltered 'lagoon' has a rock bottom and is drained to the south by a permanent rip and is consequently hazardous for swimming.
