The area commonly known to surfers as Racecourse Beach actually contains three separate beaches, which share the same surf. They face the southeast, and receive waves averaging 1.5 m. The first, Ulladulla Bombie (NSW 473) and lies at the southern base of Warden Head, immediately west of beach NSW 472. It consists of a 200 m long pocket of sand with some rocks in the surf and rock platforms to either end. It has a 100 m wide surf zone usually drained by a permanent rip against the western rocks. It is backed by 20 m high vegetated bluffs, with a small creek draining across the centre of the beach. Street parking is available on the western bluffs.
