Little Bay occupies a semicircular shaped east-facing bay, which is 100 m wide at its shallow rocky entrance. The lowered wave entering the bay maintains two small sheltered beaches (NSW 329 & 330). Ten to fifteen metre high sandstone cliffs border beach side and the centre of the bay, with steep vegetated slopes elsewhere. The slopes rise to Randwick golf course in the south and a newer housing subdivision behind and St Michaels golf course to the north. The northern beach (NSW 329) is a narrow 100 m long curving south-facing strip of sand, with rocks strewn over most of the beach, together with a small creek draining across the centre. The sandy southern beach (NSW 330) curves for 100 m between two points, faces northeast and is the more popular of the two, with usually low waves lapping against the shore (Fig. 4.249).
