Little Nelson Bay (PS 14) is a 200 m long, northwest-facing beach tucked in between Fly Point and 30 m high Nelson Head (Fig. 4.131). There are jetties at each end of the beach, a boat ramp at the eastern end with a foreshore reserve backing the length of the beach, together with a Halifax Park on Nelson Head, which includes a lighthouse. Beach Road and a cycleway run parallel to the reserve. The narrow reflective beach usually receives low wind waves and occasional swell. The bay and bay between Fly Point and Nelson Head is included in the Fly Point-Halifax Park Aquatic Reserve.
