Nobbys Beach (NSW 165) extends for 400 m between the southern rocks of Flynns Beach and the conical 30 m high Nobby Head. Waves refracting round the head and adjacent Flat Rock reef result in a partly sheltered northeast-facing beach, with waves averaging about 1 m. These maintain a usually attached bar, however rocks and reefs dominate the surf zone and when waves exceed 1 m rips form against the rocks, with larger waves breaking well offshore on the reefs. The beach is accessible around the rocks from Flynns or via a narrow dirt track and small car park at the southern end behind Nobby Head.
Beach Length: 0.4km
