The 4 km long southern shore of Broken Bay between Hungry Beach and West Head contains three beaches (NSW 3-5), all located within the Ku-ring-gai National Park. The beaches receive increasing protection from ocean swell to the west, with low wind waves and calms dominating. Hungry Beach (BB 3) is located 5 km inside the bay entrance in lee of Flint and Steel Point. It consists of a north-facing, 100 m long strip of high tide sand backed by a small valley with steep, densely vegetated slopes and a small creek. Shallow narrow sand flats front the beach, with boats often anchored just beyond the flats. Best access is by boat, with no formal land access.
Beach Length: 0.12km
