On the eastern side of Flint and Steel Point is the curving 90 m long, north-facing Flint and Steel Beach (BB 4). The beach receives low refracted swell, usually sufficient to maintain a low tide terrace. The beach is bordered by rock platforms and backed by a low grassy foredune crossed by a creek in the centre, the densely vegetated slopes rising steeply to 100 m (Fig. 4.184). Foot access via a 1 km long walking track from West Head Road or by boat, however the low surge can make landing difficult.
Beach Length: 0.1km
