Currawong Beach (BB 9 also known Little Mackeral Beach) like its Mackeral Beach neighbour occupies a partially sand filled valley. The beach is 360 m long and faces southeast into Pittwater, with usually calm conditions or low wind waves prevailing. The beach and lower valley sides are occupied by a holiday camp, which is serviced by a jetty toward the southern end of the beach. A creek, crossed by a walk bridge, drains out across the northern end of the beach, while the beach itself consists of a narrow at high tide, fronted seagrass covered sand flats extending 100 m off the northern creek end, narrowing to 20 m in the south, with the 40 m long jetty located in the centre of the beach.
Beach Length: 0.36km
