The southernmost beaches are located 6 km down into Pittwater and are spread along the north side of Taylors Point. The first Taylors Beach (BB 15) commences near the tip of the north-facing point and extends east along the base of the point for 200 m. It is a very low energy north-facing beach, which receives only low wind waves. It consists of a narrow strip of high tide sand fronted by 50 m wide partly seagrass-covered intertidal sand flats. A 70 m wide public jetty crosses the centre of the beach, with many dinghies usually pulled up on the beach and larger boat moor off the sand flats. Apart from the jetty access road, the beach is backed by houses and a naval facility east of the jetty.
