The northern beach (NSW 124) extends from the boundary rocks with Hyland beach south for 800 m to the next set of rocks. Rocks reefs lie just offshore and lower the average waves to just over 1 m resulting in a continuous attached bar, that is only cut by rips during higher wave events. The small Swimming Creek crosses the southern end of the beach. Residential development is occurring on the bluffs behind the beach, which can also be reached on foot from Main Beach.
