Pinny Beach (NSW 258) is located 1 km further south in a 300 m wide rocky embayment on the southern side of Quarries Head. The 250 m long beach faces east and occupies the base of the bay, with a rock reef in the centre and a creek draining to the northern side of the rocks. The sandy beach has a reflective northern section drained by a rip during bigger seas and low tide terrace off the southern section, with topographic rips to either end (Fig. 4.150).
