Walkers Beach (NSW 399) is located 1 km to the south and can only be reached by walking 600 m along the northern boundary of the Gerringong Golf course. The beach is 350 m long and faces the east-southeast, however it is afforded some protection by the reefs off Black Head, 2 km to the south resulting in waves averaging 1 m. These maintain a single attached bar with rips usually against the rocks at each end and a transient central rip. The sand beach is backed by a storm bounder beach, with a small creek draining across the centre, then the grassy slopes of the golf course, with 60 m high basalt headlands to either end.
