Little Patonga Beach (BB 2) is located 1 km south of Patonga, between 50 m high Walker and Juno points. It is the last ‘ocean’ beach on the north side of Broken Bay, before entering the true estuary beaches to the west. The beach is 500 m long, curving between the steep boundary slopes, and faces southeast across the bay. Waves are usually low to calm, with the narrow beach fronted by intertidal sand flats resulting in the jetty being located out on Walker Point. The Broken Bay Sport and Recreation Centre occupies the beach and surrounding valley sides. The centre includes an oval and pool located on a 6 ha area of low land backing the beach, part of a low sandy barrier system.
