Potato Beach (NSW 588) curves south from Jabarrah Point for 900 m to Potato Point (Fig. 4.393). The Potato Point settlement crowds the flat circular 20 m high point, with the road running the length of the beach behind the low foredune. This in turn is backed by Potato Creek that drains Lake Brunderee, and a smaller northern lake, and flows out across the southern end of the beach. A car park and picnic area is provided on the south side of the shallow creek entrance. The beach receives waves slightly reduced by Potato Point to average 1-1.5 m, which maintain an attached bar cut by up to five rips, including permanent rips against each point.
