Jemisons Beach (NSW 589) lies on the south side of Potato Point, with the small Potato Point settlement spread half way down the 800 m long beach. There is a small car park at the southern end of the houses which provides access down the foredune to the centre of the beach. The beach faces east and is bounded in the south by 18 m high Jemisons Point. The point is backed by a 10 m high well vegetated foredune, with a small meandering lagoon and creek draining across the southern end, then low bluffs running out beyond the creek to Jemison Point. The beach receives waves averaging 1.5 m and usually has an attached bar cut by 4-5 rips, including permanent rips against each head.
Beach Length: 0.75km
General Hazard Rating: 6/10
