It is located at the vase of a rocky 150 m wide, 300 m deep bay and consists of a 60 m long east-facing cobble beach, with a concrete boat ramp crossing the beach and car park behind. Waves average less than 0.5 m at the beach and surge up the steep, reflective shore. Well-developed rock platforms extend out either side of the bay.
