To the south of Surf Beach the main George Bass Drive winds through hilly terrain for 14 m to Tomakin, with many of the intervening beaches hidden in small valleys east of the road. The first five beaches (NSW 539N-542) occupy 2 km of irregular rocky shoreline east of the community of Lilli Pilli. The first beach (NSW 539N) is a curving 300 m long northeast-facing cobble beach, located 250 m north of Circuit Beach and below Denise Drive. It is bordered by rocky shore with reefs extending 500 m off the southern end. It is backed by blufftop house in the south and dense vegetation in the north, with a small creek draining across the northern end. Waves average 0.5-1 m and surge up the steep beach. It is isolated, rocky and unsuitable for swimming. Circuit Beach (NSW 539) occupies a gap in the rocks, with the southern Lilli Pilli Head extending 600 m eastward. The beach faces northeast and curves slightly for 200 m between the boundary rocks and reef, with a 90 m central section free of rocks. Waves average about 0.5 m and combine with the coarse sand and some cobble to produce a steep, narrow reflective beach. A small, low foredune backs the beach, and a few boat sheds occupy the rocks at the southern end. It can only be accessed from a street on the south side.
