Shelly Beach (NSW 96) is a moderately protected 600 m long east-facing beach located between Dammerels Head and the 500 m long Look-At-Me-Now Headland. The houses of Emerald Beach back the northern half of the beach, with a beach and headland reserve behind the southern half. Waves average less than 1 m producing a low continuous bar, backed by a high tide cobble/boulder beach at the southern end, but with a permanent rip against Dammerels Head.
