South of the rocks Snapper Beach (NSW 119) continues for another 1 km swinging to the southeast in lee of the low shaley Wenonah Head. Reefs off the head lower wave energy usually resulting in a continuous bar along the beach, with several rips forming during higher waves. Access is via a 2 km gravel road from the highway to a small picnic area. Local fishers also use tractors to launch boats from the beach, in front of the old seacliff.
