Rixons Beach (NSW 686) lies on the west side of Oman Point and is also within the reserve. It extends for 230 m to Murrumbulga Point, as a narrow reflective beach, with shallow rock reefs filling much of the intervening bay area. The reefs and its southerly orientation result in very low waves to calm conditions at the shore. It is backed by 10 m high-scarped bluffs, with the rocks at the western end continuing bayward as a 130 m long jetty and breakwater that have been built out over the reefs to offer further protection to the adjoining Quarantine Bay.
Beach Length: 0.3km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
